Where To Ski or Board In Canada and the US After Easter 2017

There has been plenty of fresh snow one again in Western North America, just as ski resorts start to close there at the end of their 2016-17 ski season.  Conditions have been more like mid-winter with several resorts reporting powder conditions rather than early spring.

Jackson Hole, which ended its season last Sunday, was one of those to report more than two feet (60cm) of snow in the past few days.  Others included Mammoth in California, summer ski area Timberline in Oregon and Snowbird in Utah, which also stays open in to May most years.

Whistler in Canada, which is open to late May then re-opens through July for glacier skiing had 50cm of snow and has the deepest base in Canada at 3.3m.

Many other areas in Western North America have had 20-50cm of fresh snow.
