Ever since it hosted bobsleigh, luge and skeleton events at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, La Plagne has sought to capitalise on its bobsleigh run, investing further millions in to it over the past two decades.

One of the resort’s most popular attractions is the taxi bob, a self guided craft that you can travel down in, with other options including the chance to ride in a proper bobsleigh behind a professional driver.

For the coming winter a new option is to be introduced – the chance to ride in a bobsleigh behind an Olympic champion and  world champion.

The new activity will take place in a real race  bobsleigh driven by Bruno Mingeon (Olympic medalist and world championship) assisted by a breaker.

Participants can expect to reach speeds of around 130km/h and at the end of the descent can enjoy drinks with a video of their experience provided and receive a certificate from Bruno.

The special event will be available => it is even more exciting and ultimate that the bob racing proposed 3 times in a week all season long in the bobsleigh track (120km/h).

The descents with Bruno will be offered during the Christmas holidays and from March 2015 to April 2015 with a maximum of three sessions per week.  There’ll be a maximum of six people in a group, suit will be provided, participants must be 18 and the price is 295€  If only one person is interested there’s the possibility to go in a two seat bobsleigh.
