Just arrived in Winter Park

After an 8 year break, this season sees the return of the Colorado Ski Train – the Winter Park Express. Climbing over 1,200 metres from Denver up to Winter Park Ski Resort, it takes two hours and stops at a brand new heated platform close to the Gemini Lift – making it officially ‘train in, ski out’.   Skiers can avoid the congestion and traffic jams often found on Interstate 70 west of Denver and then US 40 and get to the slopes hassle free.

The Winter Park Express leaves at 7am each weekend from the recently renovated Denver Union Station and travels 56 miles through 28 tunnels before reaching the final mountain underpass, the 6.2 miles long Moffat Tunnel – the highest in the USA.

Here’s a little edit after our arrival…just to give you a feel!
