London’s closest real snow, indoor skiing and snowboard slope, The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead, are collecting unwanted snow wear and donating it to the homeless in an effort to keep those facing a winter on the streets that bit warmer.

In London alone there are many thousands of homeless people forced to sleep rough on the streets of the capital. And when winter is here, the days and nights living on the streets bring harsh weather and freezing cold temperatures.

“We wanted to do what we could to help,” said The Snow Centre’s Managing Director, Ian Brown.

Partnered with the charity, Street Souls, The Snow Centre is collecting unwanted winter clothing to help keep the homeless warm at the end of this winter. Socks, hats, jumpers, gloves, sleeping bags and all kinds of warm clothing are needed — so everyone’s invited to make a donation.

A collection point for donations can be found at The Snow Centre’s reception until 28th February and all contributions will be distributed by Street Souls.
