Apothéose Days in Val Thorens

Although most French resorts (and indeed most other resorts) have now closed for the season, a few are still operating, with fresh snow this week, and have events planned for coming weekends. Val Thorens, open until May 8th, will stage its ‘Apothéose Days’ this weekend from 29 April to 1st May.  It’s the fourth time the event has been staged.

The highest resort in Europe reports that Apothéose Days’ has become, “…the unmissable springtime ski event for many skiing enthusiasts, as well as for families, children and even tourists that don’t take part in snow sports.

The idea is that everyone gathers at an altitude of 2,300 metres to enjoy a fun weekend together high on the slopes.

On the programme: three days of skiing, partying, entertainment, shows and activities, including the waterslide and the alarming sounding “bungee ejection”.

Events and entertainment for children under 8 years old are free of charge.
